A new recipe! Pizza with garden freshness.

The first step is to smear the store-bought pizza crust with a heaping teaspoon of chopped garlic. The next layer is the basil leaves from your garden. I used the black basil just for fun.

The next layer is thin sliced, vine ripened tomatoes. I would have loved to used tomatoes from my garden but they are still green.

Then layer pre-cooked, tail off shrimp. I used Costco’s 50/70 size.

The final layer is grated mozzarella & provolone. I ran out of the mozz mixture for the second pizza and supplemented with blue cheese crumbles. We both liked it even more.

Then into the 425 degree oven for as long as it takes to make the cheese bubbly and slightly browned. Amazingly good. Next time I’m going to try it on the grill so the house doesn’t get so hot.
Homemade pizza is the best!!
